"Baby Cherub" is the fourth sculpture in my series of
"Silver Spoon Babies"
She is curled up, sound asleep in the bowl of a beautiful antique Solid Sterling Silver "Cherub" Baby Spoon! So tiny and sweet, this newly born baby angel is a fresh contrast to the aged, yet elegant antique baby spoon.
Two tiny treasures!
Baby Cherub is completely sculpted out of polymer clay. She has a beautiful, soft skintone which is the result
of drybrushing, highlighting, and shading with
various shades
of heat-set oils, and her rosy lips are also painted with heat-set oils.
She has light blonde blonde English Viscose hair and a thin white braided "halo" headband. This baby Cherub has the sweetest little face and all the details of a real baby girl! Her wings were sculpted out of polymer clay and then covered in dozens of soft down feathers.
The Sterling Silver Spoon has been polished to a bright shine, and Baby Cherub is completely removable from the spoon for future care of the silver.
Baby Cherub a is a bit bigger than my 1:12 Scale Dollhouse Miniature Babies although she is still tiny - she measures less than 1.75 inches in her curled up position.
She is signed underneath and will bring along a Photo Certificate of Authenticity.

This darling Antique Baby Spoon was made by Reed & Barton, patent 1894 and is solid Sterling Silver.
It has a beautiful sleek design and raised detailing on the handle depicting a precious little cherub.
